Also known as “Netleaf sugar hackberry.”
Growth form is a deciduous tree attaining a height of 120 feet. Generally, 20 – 25 ft. is normal.
Flowers in May to June, with fruit ripening July to August.
The leaves are readily grazed by wildlife and livestock on the smaller trees.
The fruit is known to be eaten by at least 10 species of birds.
Native American Indians also ate the fruit.
Adapted to a variety of soils and sites.
